You complete setup

Choose your prompts, upload your contact list (names and email addresses), and share a photo of your graduate. Five minutes, tops.

Day 1–2

Invitations go out

We send personalized emails to every contact on your list, inviting them to share their wisdom. Each email explains the project and links to a simple response form.

Days 2–23

Responses roll in

Contributors respond on their own time. We send friendly reminders at days 7, 14, and 21 so no one forgets. You can check progress anytime.

Days 24–37

Design, proof, and ship

We compile everything into a professionally designed book, send you a digital proof to review, and ship the final printed copy directly to you.

Plan ahead: Order at least 5–6 weeks before your graduation date. For a May 15 graduation, order by early April.

How many people typically respond? +

We typically see response rates between 35–50% of contacts. We recommend providing at least 30–40 contacts to ensure a rich, full book. More contacts means more voices in the book — and more surprises for the graduate.

What kind of prompts do contributors answer? +

Our prompts are fill-in-the-blank style, designed to surface genuine wisdom rather than generic platitudes. Examples include things like “The best piece of advice I was ever given was...” and “Trust yourself enough to...” You choose 5–8 prompts from our curated library during setup.

What if some responses are short or low-effort? +

Our book design handles varying response lengths gracefully. Short answers sit alongside longer, more reflective ones — and the contrast actually makes the book more interesting. We also do a light quality review before layout.

Can I review the book before it prints? +

Yes. You'll receive a digital proof (PDF) to review before we send anything to print. One round of revisions is included in the price.

What if I need it sooner than 5–6 weeks? +

Our rush processing add-on ($30) compresses the collection window to 2 weeks and uses expedited printing, cutting about 10 days off the standard timeline. Order early when you can — the extra collection time means more responses.

Is this just for high school graduation? +

Not at all. We currently serve high school and college graduations, with plans to expand to weddings, retirements, milestone birthdays, and other life moments. If you have a different milestone in mind, reach out — we'd love to help.
